The clock is almost at midnight for the 2019 college football betting season, with two weeks of regular season play before conference title games and bowl matchups. Week 13 brings with it plenty of weight and some important contests that could swing the postseason fate of plenty of programs.

Penn State Nittany Lions at Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State will try to hang on to its undefeated mark and spot in the CFP rankings when it hosts Penn State in Columbus on Saturday. The Buckeyes just blasted through Rutgers but would have undoubtedly been thinking about this matchup with the Nittany Lions, who almost got caught looking ahead themselves – escaping with a 34-27 home win over Indiana as 15-point faves.
The big question in this Big Ten battle is if Penn State can sustain the OSU attack, which has averaged almost 55 points per game over its last four outings. If the Buckeyes break out of the blocks strong, the Nittany Lions may not have the firepower to keep pace. However, PSU has done well for bettors in recent meetings with Ohio State, covering in four of their last five encounters.
Texas A&M Aggies at Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs avoided a loss to Auburn this past weekend, despite getting outscored 14-0 in the fourth quarter Saturday. Georgia doesn’t have much time to wipe their brow before this home date versus Texas A&M. While the Aggies have underperformed in 2019, the team is still very dangerous and has found its stride on the defensive side of the ball, giving up just 16.75 points per outing over their last four games.
Georgia’s offense hasn’t been on point in recent weeks and has averaged only 22 points per game since losing to South Carolina in Week 7. The Bulldogs lean primarily on their defense, allowing just 51 total points against in that same span, but should they find themselves in a shootout this Saturday, things could get interesting for UGA’s CFP hopes.
Texas Longhorns at Baylor Bears
Both of these Big 12 teams are coming off a loss in Week 12, with Texas taking a tumble versus Iowa State in Ames and Baylor buckling in the second half to lose at home to Oklahoma. These Texas rivals have been a solid bet for fans of the Under, playing below the number in six straight matchups heading into this weekend.
The Longhorns have four loss on the season and desperately need some additional victories to pad their bowl game standing. As it stands, Texas would likely get passed over for a marquee bowl showcase on January 1. Baylor has just that single loss to OU on its resume and can still push for a spot in the conference championship – and a likely rematch with the Sooners – of it wins out. The Bears will be favorites, setting up for a Tom Herman underdog trends. The Longhorns coach is 15-4 ATS when getting the points during his jobs in Houston and Texas.
