The Tuesday matchup between the #1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs facing off against the #2 ranked UCLA Bruins is more than just a number one versus two battle.

This anticipated clash is a rematch of the 2020 NCAA Final Four matchup in which Gonzaga beat UCLA on a last second shot in overtime, which is now one of the most iconic moments in the history of March Madness.
The pair will face each other amongst a somewhat neutral environment at the Good Sam Empire Classic in Las Vegas.
The Bruins (4-0) led by Junior guard Johnny Juzang and will be looking to exact revenge on the Bulldogs (4-0), led by another junior in big man Drew Timme. The Bulldogs are the odds-on favorites in this matchup as the enter the contest ranked number one in nation, and the favorites among many media pundits to win the national title.
Both teams enter the matchup with a win over top-10 opponent, with the Bulldogs dispatching the number eight ranked team in Texas, and the Bruins taking down seventh ranked Villanova – both wins that occurred earlier this month.
The Bulldogs enter this matchup favored in a bigger manner than maybe even a season ago, as the Bulldogs were able to add the number one recruit in the nation in Chet Holmgren to add to the already loaded Bulldog’s roster. UCLA is no slouch though, as they return nearly the entire starting lineup form last year’s Final Four run. This matchup is so far, the best of the young season.
