The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are headlining Super Bowl 57 and it has been an incredible journey on the odds board for them both and how they got here.
The Kansas City Chiefs opened up the preseason as one of the strong favorites to win at 600 odds and remained in that favored range all throughout the offseason and regular season.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles opened at a massive 4000 underdog and continuously climbed their way down the odds board until they became a strong favorite.

Looking more into Kansas City’s road to the Super Bowl via their AFC Championship odds, they opened at 400 on February 15, 2022, and closed the preseason with 500 odds going into Week 1 of the season. Their odds shortened every week in the regular season and they entered the playoffs with 200 odds to win the conference.
Philly’s road was a bit longer as their NFC Championship odds opened at 1500 on February 15, 2022, moved up slightly to 2000, and crashed down to 1100 to close the preseason.
Going into Week 2, their odds got sliced in half to 600 and just two weeks later in Week 4, they took over the favored slot with 350 odds. Their odds to win the NFC title going into the playoffs laid at 160.
For those that were lucky enough to take a swing at the odds on an exact Super Bowl 57 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, a $100 bet at any point during the preseason would have profited a massive $100k as those odds were at 100000.
As for each of their Super Bowl odds, while they did open up on opposite ends of the odds board, it didn’t take long for them to reach the same vicinity as they were both in the 800 range following Week 3.
They moved with each other almost exactly to a “T” every week following that week and were even knotted with one another in Week 15 of the regular season.
It is worth noting that these are two of the more recent Super Bowl winners with the Chiefs winning their last in the 2019-2020 season and the Eagles winning in 2017-2018.
The Chiefs went into their championship season with odds under 1000 but above 500 similar to how they did now. The Eagles though opened at 4000 in 2017-18 and went on to win which is exactly where they opened this season.
