Thursday Night Football | News Article by handicapper911.com

The Peyton Manning Bowl is this Thursday night, and both teams would do just about anything for Peyton to walk through that door.

The Colts have been abysmal on offense outside of a couple of quarters this season and the Broncos have been just as bad.

This is going to be an old-school Thursday night football game against two mediocre teams. Both teams need this win to get their season back on track.

So far the DangeRuss Wilson experience has been anything but Dangerous. They looked terrible. The deep passing Russell Wilson has not been on display at all this season, despite having what some thought to be the most explosive receiving core in the league during the off-season.

The Broncos are averaging 16.5 points per game so far this season. The rushing offense isn’t going to be the same either, as Javonte Williams is out for the year with a torn ACL. Melvin Gordon has put the ball on the ground 4 times this year as well. Not much has gone right for the Broncos on offense.

The Colts have been the worst offense in the NFL this season. They are averaging 14.3 points per game, and they cannot block anyone. The best rushing offense in the NFL last year cant open holes against anyone.

The Broncos are allowing over 100 yards a game on the ground, so maybe this is the week Jonathon Taylor gets going. Matt Ryan has been a disaster so far. He continues to fumble and make mistakes, but he is often under siege from the horrific offensive line being a sieve.

The Defenses of these teams have been decent so far. Both of their offenses have put them behind the eight ball often this year, but they have kept them in the games.

The Colts Defensive line has been a solid unit this season, led by Grover Stewart. If they can corral Wilson they should have every opportunity to keep the score close.

When Matt Ryan had time last week, they looked okay. They don’t have any game-breakers at receiver, but if he is upright and not scrambling it’s been okay.

This has every single opportunity to be the ugliest game of the year.
