Heisman Ladder recap | News Article by handicapper911.com

Caleb Williams, Quarterback, USC
After a week off, Caleb Williams is still the leader in the clubhouse. He is going to have to throw at least one stinker in for him to fall off the top of this list.

After beating Arizona State this week, which has been quite stingy in pass defense this season, allowing just 165 passing yards a game. Despite that, he did show off this weekend.

Michael Penix Jr, Quarterback, Washington
In nearly any other year, Penix would be sitting at the top of this ranking. He has been unbelievable this season.

Through 3 games he is completing 74% of his passes, 12-1 TD-INT ratio, and they’re undefeated. His first half against Michigan State was a great game for most players, having 375 yards and 4 touchdowns…

What a start for the Huskies and Penix.

Jordan Travis, Quarterback, Florida State
Coming off a very slow start to their game against Boston College, where it looked like Travis may have been injured, the ‘Noles were able to stabilize and win in Chestnut Hill.

He took a little bit of a step back this week, but in reality, he would have had to play a perfect game to hold off Penix after his week.

Sheduer Sanders, Quarterback, Colorado
Opened the game with an interception, but closed the game with a 98-yard drive to tie it up and force overtime against Colorado State.

Sanders was the best player on the field again this week. The rest of the Buffalos struggled especially the defense. However, Sanders has been a superstar all year.

He has a few massive opportunities in the coming weeks, and if he plays well he will vault Travis.

Sam Hartman, Quarterback, Notre Dame
His first time in this top 5 this year, but he is in the most prominent positions in the country as the QB of the Fighting Irish.

He has been rock-solid this year. In four games he has yet to throw an interception this year while tossing 13 touchdowns. The longer Notre Dame stays undefeated, the higher Hartman goes on this list.

Best of the rest-Quinn Ewers (QB, Texas), Drew Allar (QB, Penn State), Bo Nix (QB, Oregon)
